Cost: S$2.50 as on 24 February 2014 (1 piece) ~ [Average as considered in the muffin market of Singapore but feels expensive from personal point of view]
Review:
I had it taken away at about 2:30pm but still feels warm from the brown paper bag though it was taken from the display shelf. A plastic bag was provided for carrying.
Ate the muffin on the day of purchase but one hour later.
Top layer: crunchy like cookies, generous amount of chocolate chip, not too sweet, evident of chocolate taste but not rich enough for me.
Base: dry, have some chocolate chip but no evident taste of chocolate, no sweetness, crumbs easily.
Overall: quite oily (after specks of crumbs fell on the brown paper bag, oil can be seen surrounding each crumb after about 1 - 2 mins), crumbs easily and dry.
Uniqueness: Top & Base are well fused though different texture, not seen as two layers but as a piece after the bite.
What I LIKE: The crunch and chocolaty taste for the top layer and the unique fusion of different texture in a muffin!!!
Conclusion: I will buy if I crave for the crunchy top layer, else I would think thrice. :-)
